AR-15 Build

Thanks to my brother who gave me a stripped lower receiver (+ grip and trigger) for my birthday I have started the build out of my next AR-15.  I am carefully selecting each component to create what I hope will be a worthy varminter. Here's the status:

Ergo SureGrip

I have started by adding an ar Ergo SureGrip:

VLTOR MUR-1a Upper Receiver

So far the toughest decision was to go with a stripped upper and build the top end from scratch or buy a complete upper assembly.  I didn't have much luck finding a complete upper assembly that fit the bill so a stripped upper was the way to go. Now... which one of the gazillion uppers should I use? After a couple weeks of digging through tons of AR sites I chose the VLTOR Weapons System MUR-1a Upper. It looks pretty badass... we'll see how it functions someday soon.

Spikes Tactical Bolt Carrier Group

I've heard a lot of good things about Spikes Tactical so I'm gonna try out their BCG.

VLTOR BCMGunfighter Charge Handle

And since I went with a VLTOR upper, I figured I would pick up a VLTOR charge handle to match. I got the BCMGunFighter with the large latch to accommodate the scope I'm planning on installing.

Top view of the upper with the charge handle installed.... looks awesome.

Rock River 2-stage Match Trigger

I went ahead and dropped in a Rock River 2-stage match trigger too. i have the same trigger in my other AR and like it a lot so what the hell...
