Finding the right supplies for this project at the best price has proven to be quite the challenge, so I figured that I'd share our findings. The most difficult item to find was the 2" Extruded Polystyrene used for the hull. After a few calls to the local hardware stores we found a Lowe's that said they could special order it, and after four weeks of waiting and getting the run around they finally delivered... the wrong stuff. Luckily though, after calling Dow, Owens Corning, and almost every hardware store within about a 100 mile radius, we found a supplier based in San Antonio, Texas (about 90 miles away) who had exactly what we need in stock. After a relatively short road trip to pick up the foam we are ready to roll.

By no means am I suggesting that you purchase these exact supplies from the vendors that we chose, but this list may at least help give a place to start. That being said, here is the list of items that we have purchased, where we purchased them, the quantity per hovercraft, and the price that we paid (keep in mind that we are buying enough to build three hovercrafts which in some cases had an impact on the cost).
